This is, by far, the best place to dine in Hays. If you want great food at low prices...this is the place to be. They give you a lot of food, so make sure you're hungry or you can always share a 44-oz steak with a friend. This MM just put in a bar and it's quite nice. They don't take reservations but are very accomodating to any size group.
Pros: Inexpensive, Huge Portions, Great decor
Cons: , Too much to eat
 don't order the chicken fried steak

I was stranded in Hays, KS earlier this year due to a snow storm. I stopped at Montana Mike's to eat because it was next door to my hotel. I was very disappointed with the quality of my chicken friend steak. It wasn't real. It was some kind of frozen patty that probably cost them 10 cents but it cost my $10.00. Never again.
