interactive dynosaurs, + the world-famous fish within a fish

The museum boasts the world-famous fish within a fish fossil, which is mounted in a glass case on the wall so you can get a sense of it's entirety. But you can walk right up to it-- very easy to study. If you're facing the fossil, off to your right is a very good video about recovering the fossil and transporting it from the plains many years ago. Very informative.
The dinosaurs on the upper floor will roar at you, the t-rex moves it's head & opens it's jaws-- triggered every 3 minutes by movement past one of the knots of wood at the bottom of the display. If it hasn't gone off & there's no one around, just walk back and forth from the dino's head to tail a few times.
Excellent collection of wildlife (taxidermy), fossils, and items indiginous to the Kansas area in years past. Well worth the admission price.
